Projects

A project is the central object of competition administration. It connects sport, league, season, teams, rounds, matches, positions and templates.

What is a project

Examples:

text
District League Group B - Men 2025/2026
Youth Cup 2026
Winter Tournament 2026
City Run 2026

Creating a project

Open:

text
Components → JoomLeague → Projects → New

Important fields:

  • project name;
  • alias;
  • league;
  • season;
  • sport;
  • project type;
  • publishing state.

The alias is used for URLs. If left empty, the system may create it from the name.

Project panel

After opening a project, use the project panel.

The panel contains cards for:

  • project options;
  • page options;
  • positions;
  • referees;
  • teams;
  • rounds;
  • project export.

Some future features may be visible but marked as planned.

Assigning teams

Teams are not automatically part of a project just because they exist.

Open:

text
Project → Teams

Move the required teams from available items to selected items and save.

Team order can influence schedule generation.

Assigning positions

Positions define roles used in the project:

  • goalkeeper;
  • defender;
  • midfielder;
  • forward;
  • coach;
  • referee.

Assign only positions used by the project.

Assigning referees

Create referee people first, then assign them in the project panel under Referees.

Project checklist

Before publishing, check:

  • project is published;
  • sport, league and season are correct;
  • teams are assigned;
  • positions are assigned;
  • rounds exist;
  • matches exist;
  • frontend menu items point to the correct project.

Documentation is statically generated with VitePress.
